IM+ has nothing to do with SMS service. IM+ is using your GPRS/Internet connection only and you have to pay for amount of data you send and receive. If you are on unlimited data plan, there are no additional charges.
If you want to change your mobile device to a similar one (e.g. Blackberry to Blackberry, Pocket PC to Pocket PC), you just need to download IM+ for free and register with your current license.
If you want to change your mobile to another one (e.g. Blackberry to Pocket PC) with different platform please fill our support request form.
Select your device type and application first, then provide us with more details: your new device model and your current license.
When you purchase IM+, you get an e-mail from SHAPE Services or from the online shop, where you have made a purchase, which includes the lifetime license code to register the application. Please be sure to check your SPAM or JUNK folder, if you cannot locate the e-mail in your inbox.
Note: If you have purchased IM+ from iTunes (App Store) or from Android Market, you do not need a license code.
Please fill out our License Reminder form entering the email address, which you used when purchasing the product. In a few minutes the license code will be delivered to the email address you have specified.

This problem deals with some peculiarities of GPRS connection. It is not possible to make phone calls and transfer data simultaneously.
But IM+ reconnects automatically after phone call, if it was not longer than 10 minutes.
IM+ for Java phones can work via Internet/Web GPRS, 3G, CDMA, UMTS,
WiFi, WAP or HTTP connection.
It cannot work via SMS or MMS.
We recommend you to contact your wireless carrier and make sure that you have full internet access enabled and that you are allowed to use 3rd party internet applications.
If you have any connectivity problems, we recommend you to go in IM+ to Services / Menu / Settings /
Network and try to change connection type selecting TCP/IP or HTTP.
Note: After changing the connection type you would need to restart IM+.
Samsung phones allow to set Internet connection in two places: for the whole device and specially for Java applications that use Internet connection under Applications\Java World\Settings.
This is a known issue for Samsung D500 phone. The best way to download IM+ is to do this via wap: wap.shapeservices.com
You also can download software with a serial cable.
Please note that for D500 JAD file is enough, no need to download JAR file.
The matter is that jar and jad files cannot be sent over the air to Nokia 6230. That's why we advise you to
send them using PC Suite program. You may find PC Suite program on the site of telephone producer (www.nokia.com
specially for Nokia 6230). Please note that you have to use IrDA or Bluetooth also.
Possibly you are using Sharp device. Please use cable, IrDA or Bluetooth to send IM+ installation files for your device as it doesn't support correct over-the-air loadings.
All Java applications on your phone require a special "Java Session" WebSession for network connectivity. This WebSession is separate from any WAP or Internet WebSessions you may already have configured. If one isn't already present, create a new Web Session for use by Java applications: Select "Menu" - "Web Access" - "Web Sessions" - "[New Entry]". Name the new entry "Java Session", set all Service Types to "HTTP", and enter the relevant Internet access point information for your network operator. If you're still experiencing connection problems, try entering the DNS IP address for your network operator: Select "Menu" - "Settings" - "Java Settings" and insert the DNS IP address.
After launching IM+ press Menu button on your Communicator to configure IM services and connect.
Most likely there is a problem with WLAN configuration. Your WLAN gateway may block some TCP/IP ports which should be opened for normal IM operation. Please contact your WLAN administrator to find out whether it allows you to work with such application as ICQ® (MSN, Yahoo, etc).
Please note that in some cases you may successfully browse Web or send/receive mails via WLAN, being unable to use other Internet application , such as MSN - it all depends on WLAN gateway configuration.
It is known that other 9500 users can use Internet via WLAN. Most likely the reason is in your phone settings. In Control Panel -> Connections -> Internet Setup it's possible to set up priorities of connections. In your case the highest priority is set for GPRS and then goes WLAN. You should set the highest priority for WLAN connection.
Please fill our support request form.

Please contact your online-shop for these issues.

Note: If you cannot download the correct IM+ versionfrom your online shop for some reasons, you may always download the latest version of IM+ from our website or directly to your mobile from wap.shapeservices.com.
